Profile
David spent the first ten years of his careers practicing commercial and civil litigation in well-known and well-respected local and national law firms. In 2011, he founded Lex Group Inc.
David pleads regularly before all levels of the Courts of Quebec as well as before the Federal Court of Canada (both in first instance and in appeal).
He provides his clients (corporations or entrepreneurs) with the full range of corporate/commercial advice and legal services, including the setting up of corporations or partnerships, and the drafting of contracts such as shareholders’ agreements, employment agreements, leases, purchase agreement and other types of commercial contracts.
David is also a trade-mark agent (Class 4 – inactive).
David has instituted and is leading many Class Actions against major corporations and manufacturers, chartered banks, automakers, hospitals/doctors, and the government. He regularly coordinates his class action efforts with attorneys in other Canadian provinces and in the United-States and has settled multiple class actions on a national basis.
David is a repeat guest lecturer at the McGill University Faculty of Law on the topics of class actions and privacy law.
He is a Wexner Heritage Fellow (Class of 2019), a prestigious leadership training institute founded by businessman and philanthropist Leslie Wexner, Chairman of L Brands, a global retail empire that includes Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works.
David was included in the 2024 edition of the prestigious “Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory”, in the Class Actions practice area, which is published each year by the Canadian Lawyer Magazine.
